Scuba Diving

Dive Wimbledon Scuba Diving Pool Diary

16 - 17 July

Lynne taught Jennie and Ellen their Open Water Referral scuba diving courses at Putney Leisure Centre. They all had a great time. Anna and Claudia had refresher scuba diving sessions with Dave while Roger looked after Emma.

With the sun shining we had to complete some deeper dives so at Wraysbury we had 2 students for the PADI Advanced course and Mandy completing her Enriched Air specialty course.

On the Sunday we headed upto Stoney Cove for the Deep and Multi level dives. Sue and Brent did really well while James had no problem with his Deep Adventure dive.

Sue, Brent and Daron also tried Enriched Air diving for the first time and obtained their specialty certifications.

Andy led a couple of dives and everybody had a great time. The weather was fantastic and it was a real pleasure to dive in Stoney Cove again.

13 July

A quiet night at the pool with only a few people scuba diving. Sue tried a drysuit which was a little too large while Shaun practised his skills for his upcoming instructor course. Divemaster trainee Simon swam around.

9 - 10 July

Caroline, Rachael, and Danie completed the 4 Open water qualifying dives with the help of Nathan, Stan, Trevor and Jonty.

Sari completed the Enriched Air specialty course with Roger.

On the Sunday Casper, Caroline, Rob, Jason and Mandy finished the 4 scenarios for the PADI Rescue Diver course. Everybody had a great time in the sunshine and earned their certification. Thanks go to Peter, David and John for their help on the day and acting skills!!!!

6 July

Club night :

Casper, Caroline, Mandy and Jason practised their Rescue skills before their dives on the Saturday while Jonty and Trevor completed a few of their Divemaster swim tests.

Caroline and Danie practised in the pool in preperation for the Open water qualifying dives at the weekend.

2 - 3 July

This weekend we had 16 students completing the PADI Open Water Referral course.

Roger taught Chantal and her gang of 10 friends the theory for the Open Water course and then we split the class into 2 for the pool skills with Adam, James and Jane helping with the teaching. The class was fantastic and as they were all friends there was a lot of hulour throughout the course.

Nathan taught the other class of six students with the help of Shaun and Andy.
It was a very successful weekend with all the students enjoying themselves and looking forward to completing their course on holiday.

29 June

There was a lot of interest in practising in the pool this Wednesday evening.
Rachael and Jane practised their skills while Sarra completed a Scuba Tune Up with James Abbott our newest instructor.

Casper, Caroline, Rob and Dale practised their Rescue skills while Howard and Arne tried using a DSMB.
